A Passion for Coral
About 80 years and four generations ago, Giuseppe Rajola founded his jewelry company, Rajola, to create unusual pieces of jewelry made from coral and other precious materials. Like his male relatives who traveled the world for the finest coral, Giuseppe made annual- and dangerous- seafaring expeditions to the Fiji Islands in order to acquire the precious coral. Giuseppe founded Rajola in his hometown, Torre del Greco, where the company is still located and operated by his descendants. Although Rajola’s jewelry now features bright gemstones and glistening diamonds, Giuseppe’s love for coral and other natural materials continue to influence the innovative designs.
