Alberto Cotogno

ALBERTO COTOGNO received a degree in Sculpture at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti of Milan. He taught in the Accademia during 1988/1989. In the early 1980's, he joined the family jewelry business, which was established in 1854. His tri-dimensional design applied to jewels makes them "wearable sculptures". In his own words: "My jewels as my sculptures must be able to talk, they must communicate a message and convey an emotion. They must own poetry and life". Among his many achievements: Winner of De Beers Diamond-International Award 2000; Winner in Category Design of Tahitian Pearl Trophy 2001; Winner of DTC Trilogy Award 2003.
